UI Designer (Mid-Level)

You will: 

• Build upon and translate wireframes and written requirements into attractive, effective user interface designs for responsive websites and mobile applications 
• Design and prototype user interactions 
• Present ideas, concepts, and design solutions to various stakeholders, synthesizing feedback and incorporating it into your designs 
• Grow and evolve the company style guide and design patterns over time 

You are:

• A creative problem-solver who can iterate rapidly 
• Detail-oriented with strong visual design chops and a keen eye for aesthetics 
• A strong communicator who can clearly articulate ideas, designs, and suggestions 
• An effective collaborator across teams who can interface with product owners, project managers, copywriters, and developers 
• Comfortable balancing multiple projects within your area of expertise and with the support of a project manager 

You Have:

• A degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field 
• 3-5 years of prior experience in UI design or similar 
• A strong portfolio of past work and the ability to talk through projects and explain design decisions during an interview 
• Proficiency with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop) 
• The ability to give and receive meaningful feedback 
• An understanding of the implications of UI decisions on technical implementation and the ability to assess benefits/tradeoffs 

Bonus points for: 

• Interest in UX/product design and a desire to grow that skillset over time 
• Basic front-end development skills 
• Early-stage startup experience
